The B-Clamp\u2122 (BariClip\u2122) is an implantable device, inserted laparoscopically, made from titanium with a medical-graded soft silicone cover. It is \u201cclipped\u201d and fixed vertically around the stomach\u2019s larger part (the large curve), drastically restricting the food capacity of the stomach.<\/p>\n

The device divides the stomach in two parts: a \u201crestrictive\u201d part which contains the nutrients, and the \u201cexcluded\u201d expandable part of stomach which produces the gastric fluids.
\nThe excluding part (old stomach) usually expands massively and produces gastric digestive fluids with the natural pepsins and hormonal precursors.
